FONDUES

Two young men, Alex and Rémy, from an average town, spend their days sitting by a railway track, watching trains. Luc, also average, takes the TGV to Paris. In the train's bar carriage, he meets Marion, who appears to be a Parisian. Through the somewhat ordinary story of a young "provincial" leaving for the capital, "À fond" offers a glimpse of a reality that, despite its apparent insignificance, remains on the sidelines of a world where success and speed are held up as dominant values. "À fond" is a humorous play, with its focus on language and the social discrepancy it portrays - a discrepancy that carries a message which, while not to be taken lightly, is still quite serious (THÉÂTREZ-NOUS). Lucas Henaff's writing is always spot-on, in terms of both the text's rhythm and its suitability for staging (IO LA GAZETTE DES FESTIVALS).
